Strawberry Cream Tiramisu

A creamy twist on the classic Italian dessert, featuring fresh strawberries and ladyfingers.

Strawberry Cream Tiramisu

Servings: 8-10

Ingredients:

  • 12-16 ladyfingers
  • 1 cup of strong brewed coffee
  • 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Coffee Syrup

In a small bowl, whisk together the coffee and cocoa powder until well combined. Set aside.

Step 2: Dip Ladyfingers in Coffee Mixture

Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for about 3-5 seconds on each side. They should be soft and pliable but not too wet.

Step 3: Prepare Cream Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until it begins to thicken. Add the granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and mascarpone cheese. Whip until stiff peaks form.

Step 4: Assemble Tiramisu

Begin assembling the tiramisu by spreading a layer of the cream mixture on the bottom of a large serving dish or individual glasses. Arrange a layer of ladyfingers on top of the cream mixture. Repeat this process, starting with the coffee syrup soaked ladyfingers, then the cream mixture and finally another layer of ladyfingers.

Step 5: Top with Whipped Cream and Fresh Strawberries

Top the tiramisu with a generous dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of sliced strawberries. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.

Notes:

For an extra layer of flavor, drizzle the top of the tiramisu with chocolate syrup or whipped cream before serving. To add some crunch to your tiramisu, sprinkle chopped almonds or hazelnuts on top before adding the whipped cream.
