Strawberry and Balsamic Panna Cotta
Description
A creamy panna cotta infused with the sweetness of strawberries and the tanginess of balsamic glaze.
Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 8 oz strawberry puree
- 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
Instructions
Prepare the Panna Cotta Base
Combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and vanilla extract in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium heat until the mixture starts to simmer.
Remove from heat and add in the granulated sugar. Stir until dissolved.
Chill the Panna Cotta Mixture
Let the panna cotta mixture cool to room temperature. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Prepare the Strawberry Sauce
Combine the strawberry puree and balsamic glaze in a small bowl. Stir until well combined.
Assemble and Chill the Panna Cotta
Spoon the chilled panna cotta mixture into individual serving cups. Top with a spoonful of the strawberry sauce.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Serve
Serve chilled, garnished with fresh strawberries if desired.
