Strawberry and Balsamic Crumble

Servings: 6-8 people

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, mix together the sliced strawberries and granulated sugar. Let it sit for about 15 minutes until the strawberries start to release their juice.

In another bowl, whisk together the cornstarch, balsamic vinegar, and flour. Add this mixture to the strawberry mixture and stir until well combined.

Transfer the mixture into a baking dish and set aside.

For the crumble topping, mix together the melted butter, rolled oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.

Spread the crumble topping evenly over the strawberry mixture.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the crumble is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.

Remove from oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and enjoy!
