Ingredients:
- 2 (6 oz) fresh tuna steaks, patted dry
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tsp sriracha sauce
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- For the Mango Salsa:
- 1 ripe mango, diced
- 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced (adjust to your spice preference)
- 1 lime, juiced
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine the sesame seeds, sriracha sauce, grated ginger, black pepper, and salt.
- Rub the mixture evenly onto both sides of the tuna steaks.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the tuna steaks for 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked to your liking (medium-rare is recommended).
- Remove the tuna steaks from the skillet and set aside to rest for a few minutes.
- While the tuna is resting, combine all the salsa ingredients in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- To serve, place the seared tuna steaks on plates and top generously with the mango salsa.
