Ingredients:
- 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed and flaked
- ½ cup cooked quinoa
- ¼ cup chopped red onion
- ¼ cup finely chopped cilantro
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 4 burger buns
- Avocado Lime Crema:
- 1 ripe avocado, mashed
- ¼ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Prepare the salmon patties: In a large bowl, combine flaked salmon, quinoa, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Gently mix until well combined. Form into 4 patties.
- Cook the patties: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Lightly oil the skillet. Cook the salmon patties for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Make the avocado lime crema: In a small bowl, combine mashed avocado, sour cream or Greek yogurt, lime juice, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Assemble the burgers: Spread avocado lime crema on the burger buns. Top with a cooked salmon patty. Add your favorite toppings like lettuce, tomato, or pickled onions. Enjoy!
