Spiced Salmon with Coconut-Avocado Salsa

A vibrant and healthy dish combining pan-seared salmon with a creamy coconut-avocado salsa bursting with fresh flavors.

Ingredients:

  • 4 (6 ounce) Salmon fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • For the Salsa:
  • 1 ripe avocado, diced
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut, toasted
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry and season generously with salt, black pepper, cumin, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and flaky.
  3. While the salmon is cooking, prepare the salsa: Combine avocado, toasted coconut, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, and salt in a bowl. Gently mix to combine.
  4. Serve the cooked salmon topped with the refreshing coconut-avocado salsa.
