Seared Tuna Steaks with Ginger-Peach Salsa

A vibrant and flavorful dish combining seared tuna steaks with a sweet and tangy ginger-peach salsa.

Ingredients:

  • 2 (6 oz) sushi-grade tuna steaks
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 ripe peach, diced
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

Instructions:

  1. Pat tuna steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over high heat. Sear tuna steaks for 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked to desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. While tuna is cooking, combine diced peach, red onion, ginger, cilantro, lime juice, and soy sauce in a bowl.
  4. Serve seared tuna steaks topped with the fresh ginger-peach salsa.
