Ingredients:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped pistachios
- 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the chopped pistachios.
- Spread half of the batter into the prepared pan. Drizzle with half of the caramel sauce, then swirl gently using a knife or toothpick. Top with the remaining batter and drizzle with the remaining caramel sauce. Swirl again.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
