Salmon with Caramelized Orange & Ginger Glaze

A sweet and savory glaze elevates pan-seared salmon to new heights.

Ingredients:

  • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the salmon for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine the orange juice, brown sugar, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the glaze thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.
  4. Pour the glaze over the cooked salmon fillets. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
