Raspberry Chocolate Chip Waffles
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
Make the Waffle Batter
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by melted butter and milk.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, beating until just combined.
Add Fresh Raspberries and Chocolate Chips
- Gently fold in fresh raspberries and dark chocolate chips into the waffle batter.
Cook the Waffles
- Preheat a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Drop 1/4 cupfuls of batter onto the center of the waffle iron, spreading it outwards to fill the iron.
- Cook for 3-5 minutes or until the waffles are golden brown and crispy.
Serve
- Serve warm waffles topped with whipped cream, fresh raspberries, and additional chocolate chips if desired.
