Raspberry Chocolate Chip Waffles

Moist waffles loaded with fresh raspberries and dark chocolate chips, perfect for a sweet breakfast treat.

Raspberry Chocolate Chip Waffles

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

Make the Waffle Batter

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by melted butter and milk.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, beating until just combined.

Add Fresh Raspberries and Chocolate Chips

  1. Gently fold in fresh raspberries and dark chocolate chips into the waffle batter.

Cook the Waffles

  1. Preheat a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Drop 1/4 cupfuls of batter onto the center of the waffle iron, spreading it outwards to fill the iron.
  3. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until the waffles are golden brown and crispy.

Serve

  1. Serve warm waffles topped with whipped cream, fresh raspberries, and additional chocolate chips if desired.
