Ingredients:
- 6-8 medium-sized apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
For the crust:
- 1 cup pistachios, chopped
- 1/4 cup honeycomb toffee bits
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Filling
In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix until the apples are evenly coated with the dry ingredients.
Step 2: Prepare the Crust
In another mixing bowl, whisk together the chopped pistachios, honeycomb toffee bits, flour, and salt. Add in the cold unsalted butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Step 3: Assemble the Crumble
Transfer the apple mixture to a 9x9-inch baking dish. Top with the pistachio and honeycomb crust, making sure to evenly distribute it across the top of the apples.
Step 4: Bake the Crumble
Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender. Serve warm and enjoy!
