Pan-Seared Scallops with Garlic Butter and Herbs
Servings: 4-6 people
Ingredients:
- 12 large scallops, rinsed and patted dry
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh lemon wedges (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Garlic Butter
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.
Step 2: Prepare the Herbs
Chop fresh parsley and dill as directed in the ingredients section. Set aside.
Step 3: Pan-Fry Scallops
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Season scallops with salt and pepper. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the scallops. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.
Step 4: Serve
Serve seared scallops immediately with garlic butter sauce spooned over the top. Garnish with chopped herbs and serve with lemon wedges on the side (if desired).
