Matcha and White Chocolate Mousse Tiramisu

A creative twist on the classic Italian dessert, combining the bright flavors of matcha with the richness of white chocolate.

Matcha and White Chocolate Mousse Tiramisu

Ingredients

Ladyfingers

  • 12-16 ladyfingers
  • 1/2 cup matcha powder (whisked into the coffee)

Mascarpone Cream

  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder
  • 3 ounces white chocolate, finely chopped

Instructions

Make the Mousse

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the mascarpone, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract.
  • Add the matcha powder to the mascarpone mixture and whisk until combined.
  • Fold in the chopped white chocolate.

Assemble the Tiramisu

  • Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee-matcha mixture for about 3-5 seconds on each side. They should be soft and pliable but not too wet.
  • In a large serving dish, create a layer of ladyfingers.
  • Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
  • Repeat the layers: ladyfingers, then the remaining mascarpone cream.

Notes

  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Slice into squares and serve chilled.
