Matcha White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 tsp matcha powder (preferably ceremonial grade)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat and Prep
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients
In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Step 3: Cream Butter and Sugars
In a large bowl using an electric mixer, beat the butter until it is light and fluffy. Add white granulated sugar gradually and continue beating until well combined.
Step 4: Add Matcha and Egg
Add matcha powder to the butter mixture and mix until just combined. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
Step 5: Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
Step 6: Fold In White Chocolate Chips
Fold in white chocolate chips into the cookie dough.
Step 7: Scoop and Bake
Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
Tips:
For an extra green tea kick, sprinkle a pinch of matcha powder on top of each cookie before baking.
