Matcha White Chocolate Chip Blondies
Servings: 12-15 blondies Prep Time: 20 minutes Cook Time: 25 minutes Total Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup matcha green tea powder (high-quality, ceremonial grade)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat and Prepare the Baking Pan
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal.
Whisk Together Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Cream Butter and Sugar
In a large bowl, cream the softened butter until light and fluffy. Add granulated sugar and continue to beat until well combined.
Beat in Eggs and Vanilla
Beat in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
Combine Dry Ingredients and Mix Wet Ingredients
With the mixer on low speed, gradually add the dry ingredients (flour mixture) to the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
Stir in White Chocolate Chips
Stir in white chocolate chips to distribute evenly throughout the batter.
Pour Batter into Prepared Baking Pan and Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
Cool, Cut, and Serve
Let the blondies cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, cut into squares or rectangles and serve.
Tips:
- Use high-quality matcha powder for the best flavor.
- White chocolate chips can be substituted with chopped white chocolate bars if preferred.
- Blondies are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
