Matcha Green Tea Tiramisu Cheesecake Bars
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup matcha green tea powder (preferably ceremonial grade)
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 8 ounces ladyfingers
- 1 cup strong brewed coffee
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Confectioners' sugar, for dusting
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat and Prepare the Baking Pan
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
Step 2: Make the Cheesecake Layer
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and sugar. Add softened butter and mix until crumbly. Press into prepared baking pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
Step 3: Prepare the Tiramisu Filling
Dip ladyfingers in coffee and arrange in a single layer on top of cheesecake base. Spread mascarpone cheese mixture over ladyfingers, followed by matcha green tea powder sprinkled evenly.
Step 4: Bake and Cool
Return to oven for an additional 20-25 minutes or until set. Allow to cool completely before refrigerating for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Step 5: Slice and Serve
Once chilled, lift the bars out of the pan using parchment paper and slice into desired sizes. Dust with confectioners' sugar and serve chilled.
