Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

- Add in the softened butter and mix until a dough forms.

- Divide the dough in half and roll out each half into a rectangle that is about 1/4-inch thick.
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Place one of the dough rectangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and top with the apple mixture.
- Roll out the second dough rectangle to match the first one and place it on top of the apple filling.
- Press the edges of the two doughs together to seal the pie.
- Use a sharp knife or pastry cutter to create a decorative border around the edge of the pie.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
