  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 cup caramelized apples (see below for recipe)

Caramelized Apples:

  • 4-5 medium-sized apples, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced apples and cook for 5-7 minutes or until they start to caramelize.

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture comes to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat and let steep for 10-15 minutes or until the mixture has cooled slightly.
  4. Whisk in the egg yolks and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the mixture thickens.
  5. Stir in the caramelized apples.

Assemble the panna cotta:

  1. Pour the panna cotta mixture into individual serving cups or a large serving dish.
  2. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to chill and set.
  3. Garnish with fresh cinnamon sticks before serving.
