- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan and set it aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Set it aside.
- In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Press half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
- Dollop spoonfuls of cookie dough on top of the brownie layer.
- Top with the remaining brownie batter and smooth out the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.
- Let cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
- To make the cookie dough, simply beat together the butter, confectioners' sugar, flour, vanilla extract, and salt until a smooth dough forms. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- If you're feeling extra decadent, sprinkle some chopped nuts or sea salt on top of the brownies before baking for added texture and flavor.
