A delicious dessert that combines the best of both worlds - a rich chocolate chip cookie crust and a crunchy oat topping. This unique pie is perfect for any chocolate lover.

Ingredients:

  • For the Crust:

    • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
    • 3/4 cup white granulated sugar
    • 3/4 cup brown sugar
    • 2 large eggs
    • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • For the Filling:

    • 6 medium-sized apples, peeled and sliced
    • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • For the Topping:

    • 1 cup rolled oats
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
    • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Make the Crust:

    • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
    • Add in the unsalted butter and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
    • Stir in the white and brown sugars.
    • Beat in the eggs until well combined.
    • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  3. Press the Crust into a Pie Dish:

    • Bake for 40-50 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.
